Exhibited at the US Capitol, the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, this portrait eventually found a home in the Hartley Dodge Memorial in Madison, NJ. Mallory Mortillaro will share her first-hand account of researching this painting and the stories she uncovered.
