September 12, 2023, 7 pm8:30 pm.
Free

America’s path to independence began in August of 1776 with the Battle of Brooklyn, the first military engagement following the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in July 1776. The Old Stone House was the site of the culmination of what was the largest battle of the Revolutionary War. In this lecture, you will also hear the poignant story that explains why the Maryland flag is flown at Old Stone House in Brooklyn. Our speaker is Maggie Weber, director of education for Old Stone House. This is a Zoom presentation that will be shown in the library or can be viewed from home. In-person: No registration required.  Library members may register by visiting our website.  For additional inquiries, please call the library.
