VIRTUAL/IN-PERSON: Dealing with Gold, Silver, and Precious Metals

How many pennyweights or grams are in one troy ounce? Few can answer this question and, since most dealers quote prices in terms of pennyweights or grams, most sellers of gold and silver are at the mercy of dealers. This program will show you how to perform the same calculations the dealers perform on your own jewelry, coins, and sterling silver before you sell. He’ll talk about understanding the avoirdupois vs. troy weight systems, how to weigh precious metals and estimate value, how to sell gold and sterling for top dollar, and selling silverplate, pewter, gold tone, gold fill, gold plate, vermeil, and more. This is a Zoom presentation that will be shown in the library or can be viewed from home.
