
The Rise and Fall of the Gold Coast Estates

On Tues., Sept. 223rd, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host Richard Panchyk and his program titled “The Rise and Fall of the Gold Coast Estates. The Gold Coast was more than just extravagant mansions; it inspired art, literature and employed thousands of people. For about half a century the Gold Coast thrived across Nassau and Suffolk before they began to vanish. Come take a visual journey through time and see the most lavish homes that were built.
