The M.R. James Project

August 22, 7 pm8:30 pm.
Free

The supernatural tales of M.R. James (1862-1936) are widely regarded as the finest ever written and, over a century after their first publication, they’ve lost none of their power to terrify and amuse. Fresh from appearing at the Necronomicon Providence Weird Fiction Convention, UK resident and performance storyteller Robert Lloyd Parry will enact James’ Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to You, My Lad tale of nocturnal terror on the Suffolk (England) coast. You’ll also hear The Ash Tree, a spine-chilling tale of witchcraft and vengeance down the generations. No registration required.  For additional information, please call the library at 631-567-5079 or visit our website.
