The Battle of Long Island
Wed, April 22nd, author Bill Bleyer will discuss Long Island’s pivotal role in the American Revolution. The Battle of Long Island was the largest single-day engagement of the war and a devastating defeat. Learn about the hearsh realities of the British occupation and brought years of hardship for its residents. This talk sheds light on the local impact of a global conflict and the resilience of Long Islanders during a defining chapter in American History.
