The Atelier presents “How to Use Oil Paints: Materials and Methods” a 2-day Workshop on Saturday, September 14^th and Sunday, September 15^th

Have you wanted to try oil painting but was afraid to? Then this workshop is for you. This special 2-day workshop explores the basic properties, tools and techniques of oil painting. The topics covered will include:

• Brushes: Which ones to use, how to use them when and how to clean & store them.
• Mediums and basic formulas
• Arranging your palette
• Painting surfaces and how to prepare them
• Setting up your easel, work area and how to clean it.
• How to apply, blend and glaze your creation on canvas.
• Painting techniques: mixing, blending, glazing and applying paint.

This course is open to all skill levels and all painting supplies are included. This workshop is scheduled for Saturday, September 14 (10:00am-2:00pm) and Sunday, September 15 (10:00am-2:00pm) which includes a 30-minute lunch break.  The cost for this 2-day workshop, which includes materials, is $250 per person.
