
Teen Summer Challenge Kickoff with Jessica Goodman, Liz Lawson, Jordyn Taylor, and Kara Thomas at the Great Neck Library

Come kick off our 2025 Teen Summer Challenge with our very special Young Adult authors’ event at the Great Neck Library, 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck, on Saturday, June 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Meet Jessica Goodman, The Meadowbrook Murders; Liz Lawson, Murder Between Friends; Jordyn Taylor, Wicked Darlings; and Kara Thomas, The Champions. Each author will talk about their new thrillers and participate in a Q & A.
Jessica Goodman is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Meadowbrook Murders, The Counselors, The Legacies, They’ll Never Catch Us, and They Wish They Were Us. She is the former op-ed editor at Cosmopolitan magazine. Her work has also been published in Marie Claire, Entertainment Weekly, The Cut, and Glamour.
Liz Lawson is the New York Times bestselling co-author of The Agathas and the sequel, The Night in Question (with Kathleen Glasgow), and The Lucky Ones. Liz lives with her family and two very bratty cats.
Jordyn Taylor is a former magazine editor and the USA Today bestselling author of The Revenge Game, The Paper Girl of Paris, and Don’t Breathe a Word. She is also an adjunct professor of journalism at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. Jordyn was born and raised in Toronto and now lives in New York.
Kara Thomas is an unsolved mystery enthusiast who dreams of one day solving a cold case. She lives on Long Island with her husband, son, and rescue cat. She is the author of The Darkest Corners, Little Monsters, The Cheerleaders, That Weekend, and The Champions, as well as the adult thriller Out of the Ashes.
Registration is recommended but open to all. Great Neck cardholders and residents can register online, in person, or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, as space allows.
