In celebration of November as National Family Caregivers Month, The Long Island Museum is excited to be hosting a very special FREE – and uniquely entertaining — event created for local caregivers!
Join us for “People Who Need People” — a Free Live Concert and Pop-Up Senior Resource Event — featuring the classic hits of Barbra Streisand as performed by Long Island’s own Mary Solitto, whose voice has been compared to Barbra, Celine, and Cher!
Don’t miss this very special event offering seniors, caregivers, and families a wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon relaxing to the timeless music of Barbra Streisand – while also having the opportunity to learn more about free programs and services available for seniors and caregivers right here in the community.
Together with the Suffolk County Office for the Aging, Stony Brook’s Center for Excellence in Alzheimer’s Disease and the Town of Brookhaven’s Senior Citizens Division, this special afternoon will share vital resources with attendees– offering a day of music, socializing, learning … and valuable connections!
Attendees of the “People Who Need People” Live Concert and Pop-Up Senior Resource Program will also enjoy free admission to LIM’s exhibitions and beautiful grounds for the day!
