“Painting Sky & Water with Soft Pastels” an in-person 2-day workshop instructed by Lana Ballot, Saturday, April 5th and Sunday April 6th, 10AM-4PM, at The Atelier at Flowerfield

In this 2-day soft pastels workshop, we will learn how to paint the landscape with beautiful dramatic skies and water. We will learn how to paint realistic clouds and create the illusion of depth and atmosphere in the sky, as well as the reflections of the sky in the water.
- The demos of the sunset and early afternoon skies will show how the light and color change in the landscape depending on the time of day.
- We’ll look at the advantages of working directly on toned papers or using the Wet Underpainting technique.
- The students can use the demo reference photos (will be provided) in their projects or work from their own reference.
