Owl Prowl

February 3, 7 pm9 pm.
An owl in the air.

You’ll have a hoot as you learn the calls and characteristics of owls who live in Staten Island’s natural space.

Deep in the heart of Staten Island’s Greenbelt, High Rock Park offers a collection of wetlands systems, a stand of evergreens and deciduous woodlands, each of which is attractive to nesting owls. Join with Protectors’ president, Cliff Hagen, as he walks the trails at night in search of our nocturnal neighbors.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early, find parking along Nevada Avenue and meet in the High Rock Park parking lot atop Nevada Avenue. Dress appropriate for the weather. For more information call Cliff Hagen at 718-313-8591 or e-mail him at [email protected].
