Off-Road Vehicle Scoping Sessions

National Park Service is seeking public comment for Fire Island National Seashore’s Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan. The process for public input is part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations.

Important dates in this process include:

• The public comment period beginning on May 28, 2024.
• An in-person public informational meeting at the Patchogue Ferry Terminal on Wednesday, June 5, at 7 p.m.
• A virtual public information meeting the following week on Wednesday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m.
• The Public Comment Period will close on June 30, 2024.
