Mosaic Transparencies with Michelle Sider

Mixed Media Artist Michelle Sider returns to Glass Art Studios this summer teach her Mosaic Transparencies workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 8-10, 2025.

Sider will provide personalized guidance and instruct students through her distinctive techniques for creating realistic transparent images in mosaic. Those who attend will learn about color selection, value and andamento – all while working to complete their own 10-inch by 10-inch mosaic.

Extensive mosaic experience is not necessary to join this class. It will be held at 304 Hallock Ave., Port Jefferson Station, New York, NY 11776.

“This will be my third year teaching at this inspiring studio, and it always feels like coming home,” said Sider. “The space is lovely and spacious, but what truly brings me back are the people. Many of the students return year after year, creating a warm, supportive, and creative atmosphere that I look forward to every summer.”
