Founded in 1953, the famous US Air Force Thunderbirds flying-demonstration team has performed in air shows in the United States and around the world. This book covers the team’s first aircraft, the F-84, up to the current present aircraft flown by the team, the F-16 Falcon
About Blue Angels: The US Navy’s Flight Demonstration Team,
Since 1946, the world-famous US Navy Blue Angels flying-demonstration team has performed in airshows in the United States and around the world. This book details the origins of the team as well as describing the different models of aircraft used by the team, up to the Super Hornet F/A-18 currently flown by the team.
The store has a small parking lot behind the store and a much larger one across the street at the LIRR station.
About the author
Ken Neubeck (b. 1952) was born in Port Jefferson, Long Island and lived in the Patchogue area of Long Island all of his life. After receiving degrees in Applied Math from Stony Brook University, Ken worked for several aerospace companies on Long Island as a reliability engineer, initially with the Fairchild Republic Company on the A-10 Warthog program.
He has written two key books in the field of amateur radio (he has callsign WB2AMU) – SIX METERS, A GUIDE TO THE MAGIC BAND (first edition in 1994, fourth edition in 2008) and cowrote with Gordon West, VHF PROPAGATION, A PRACTICAL GUIDE FOR RADIO AMATEURS (2004).
In the field of aircraft books, his first effort was the A-10 Warthog in action (1995) for Squadron/Signal Publications and has continued with several more books for Squadron/Signal that cover different military aircraft, typically walk-around style books.
