Long Island Mattituck Lions Club 69th Annual Strawberry Festival

The Mattituck Lions Club, part of Lions International, is proud to announce their 69th Annual Strawberry Festival presented by Stony Brook Medicine. The carnival opens on Wednesday with the return of local favorite Hulling Night presented by M&T Bank and the third annual North Fork’s Got Talent Show, along with the carnival, midway and international food court from Reithoffer Shows. Thursday evening will be the start of the first of three consecutive nights of spectacular fireworks presented by Mattituck Environmental Services and Maggio Environmental. There will also be a full slate of arts & craft vendors, business exhibits, and one-of-a kind strawberry shortcake, chocolate covered strawberries, and alcohol-free strawberry daiquiris. Thursday will also be the first annual “Memories for Morgan”, which will be a 1-hour early opening to thirty local children who are challenged with social disorders, life threatening illness, or undue hardships, so they can enjoy the carnival without the pressures of crowds or lines.  This there will be a full slate of entertainment throughout the festival beginning Wednesday night with the North Fork’s Got Talent Winner Jam Session, David Clark’s All About Joel Tribute Band on Thursday and continuing into the weekend Friday night with Fever Band, Aqua Cherry Saturday afternoon and That 70’s Band to close out the evening. Saturday also features the crowning of the 2024-2025 Strawberry Queen at 4pm and the return of the World Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest from Major League Eating at 5pm where reigning champion Geoff Esper looks to break his record of 21 pounds! The festival comes to a close on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16 with more live music on the main stage from the Points East duo followed by Reel East End Brass (REEB), culminating with the announcement of the winner of the Big Bucks Raffle at 4:30pm.
