ArtABILITY ‘25 is a traveling art exhibition organized by the Spirit of Huntington Art Center that showcases the talents of differently abled individuals on Long Island and the surrounding area. This exhibit highlights the remarkable talents of people with differing abilities, inspires people to reach beyond their limitations to explore their own creativity, and promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities in the arts. This year’s exhibition will be on view at The Atelier at Flowerfield from July 10, 2025, through August 7, 2025.

“We’re incredibly excited and grateful to partner with The Atelier at Flowerfield to showcase our students’ work,” said Kaitlyn Beers, Development Associate, and Michael Kitakis, Executive Director of the Spirit of Huntington Art Center. “Sharing their art with a broader audience highlights their talent and encourages them to keep creating. As differently abled artists, their perspectives and creativity deserve to be celebrated and seen.”

Spirit of Huntington offers art classes that provide a unique opportunity for students to enjoy a stress-free, therapeutic environment that fosters creativity and self-esteem. ArtABILITY ‘25 celebrates the accomplishments of the artists and the many non-profit partner organizations that support their day-to-day lives and who believe in the impact the arts can have on individuals with disabilities.

“The staff, students and instructors here at The Atelier strive to create a welcoming and above all encouraging environment for artists of all levels, abilities, and backgrounds.” says Eva Buonaiuto, Administrator & Studio Coordinator at The Atelier at Flowerfield “We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Spirit of Huntington Art Center to showcase ArtABILITY ‘25. Our hope is to foster community for artists across neighboring art institutions. Art is everywhere, and art is for everyone!”

This event is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
