Long Island Celebrates! World Down Syndrome Day

DJ, dances, singing, raffles, an opportunity to engage in a craft, strolling characters, and more will be part of the World Down Syndrome Day celebration presented by Alexander’s Angels Youth/Self-Advocate Group.  The official date, 3/21, symbolizes Down syndrome as it occurs when there are three rather than two copies of the 21st chromosome.  Several organizations collaborate with Alexander’s Angels to raise awareness of what individuals with Down syndrome CAN do!  Don’t miss it!
