Landmark Radio Theater presents “Queen of the Skies”
“Queen of the Skies” is an original comedy, presented in the classic style of radio dramas from the Golden Age of broadcasting, with live music and sound effects created right on stage. Selected by Newsday as one of the 12 Shows to See on Long Island this fall!
The play is set in 1939, when trans-Atlantic air travel was brand new and Port Washington was home to the majestic Clipper flying boats, the first great luxury airliners. News has just gotten around that the most talked-about celebrity newlyweds of the year are about to fly in on the Clipper from Marseilles, and the whole town is thrown into a tizzy.
Join our “studio audience” and be part of the fun as a talented cast gives voice to more than two dozen vivid characters.
“Queen of the Skies,” a coproduction of Landmark on Main Street and Expressive Elocution, is presented with support from HEARTS Port Washington.
