Killer Soundtracks – The Effects of Music In Horror Movies (Online Class)
From hidden voices to dissonant chords, tritones to infrasound, music in horror movies is meant to do more than just set the mood. Composers such as Harry Manfredini (Friday The 13th) and Charles Bernstein (A Nightmare On Elm Street) use certain tricks in their scores which can literally shake you to the core. Explore the spine-tingling effects of how music in horror films keeps you on your toes and forces you to sleep with one eye open. This online class is led by musician and music educator Dan Lupo. Hosted by Emma Clark Library.
Tuesday, October 15, 7:00 – 8:00pm. Please note this is an online class. It is open to all (residents and nonresidents). Register at emmaclark.org/programs.
