Jewish Sports Heritage Association Induction Ceremony

The Fifth Annual Jewish Sports Heritage Association Annual Induction Ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Temple Israel, Lawrence, 140 Central Avenue, Lawrence, NY, and Virtually.

Nine Jewish greats from the world of sports will be inducted, including: Sherry Levin, the all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball history at Holy Cross; Mike Saunders, long-time Head Trainer of the New York Knicks; and Dr. Ludwig Guttmann, founder of the Paralympics movement. Six others will receive individual awards, including: Ryan Turell, Yeshiva University basketball All-America; and Coach Elliot Steinmetz, Head Coach, Men’s Basketball at Yeshiva University.
