How to be a Winter Nature Detective: This is a family program for children ages 5 and older

Program Presenter: Olivia McGranaghan, SOFO Environmental Educator

Put your detective caps on and explore the winter wonderland in our backfield. Join Olivia and search for footprints and tracks in the snow that may give us clues on what animals are out and about in the SOFO field. We will look at snowflakes and learn how—just like fingerprints—no two are the same. Write down your clues and notes on your findings in a notebook just like a detective and let others know what you have found.

There is a $15 fee for Adults and $10 fee for children for this program. This program fee will also provide non-members with free admission to the museum on a day of their choice. Members are free.

Advanced reservations are required for all events. To register for this program, please contact us at [email protected] or call 631-537-9735.
