Friends of the Poor Walk

Join us at beautiful Heckscher State Park for the annual Friends of the Poor Walk. This event, which takes place nationally, raises funds to support our outreach to the working poor. We provide clothing, furniture, financial aid and spiritual support to struggling families across Long Island. Last year, our 1100 volunteers assisted over 110,000 individuals with basic needs and a hand up to those in crisis.
