FREE Concert with International Music Star Brenda Marie Turner

St. John’s Episcopal Church is delighted to offer a free concert on Sunday, April 6, 2025, 3 p.m., at the church located at the intersection of Main Street and Prospect Street, Huntington Village. Titled, Sing Out: A Tour for Harmony, the concert will feature acclaimed international vocalist Brenda Marie Turner who performs in many musical genres. Ms. Turner, who is featured in concerts in the United States and in Europe, comes to St. John’s to sing spirituals, contemporary jazz, works by contemporary African American composers, and operatic pieces. Brenda Turner will be accompanied by internationally renowned pianist Alex Pryrodny. In describing the upcoming concert, Mr. Pryrodny said, “Brenda Marie Turner is an artist of rare stylistic range. I’m excited to be a part of a program that will be a testament to the power of music to express our innermost feelings, to find unity in diverse personal experiences and heal the soul with the power of great music. This program in particular leans on African-American musical tradition, from early spirituals to contemporary music, while also drawing on gems of European and American repertoire.”
