Art Beyond the Ink: Umoja – A Musical Quest for Deep-Sea Friendship

This event will take place in person at the Children’s Center in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library.

In this interactive workshop, children and families will hear an ocean-inspired story and create their own musical narrative by choosing sounds and movements to represent various characters and words throughout. Then, they will listen to the story come to life as it is read and performed live by the musicians! Participants will draw, write and share their own musical stories.

Umoja: A Musical Quest for Deep-Sea Friendship is based on music by Valerie Coleman. Presented by Art Beyond the Ink.

For children ages 5-9 years old.

Registration is required and can be done by phone or in person starting Tuesday, January 3.
