Built in 1680, the Van Nostrand-Starkins House is recognized as the oldest surviving house in Nassau County. Owned by the Village of Roslyn and restored by the Roslyn Landmark Society, the building has served the community as a historic house museum since 1977. It is regularly open to the public year round, Monday through Friday, from 10 AM – 2 PM.

Join Daphne Hanjis, Roslyn Landmark Society Board Trustee, when she hosts a rare weekend Open House at the 1680 Van Nostrand-Starkins House Historic Site on Sunday, June 1 between 1 PM – 4 PM.

Tour the interior of the home to view the house’s unique historical architectural details, artifacts, and furniture. Explore what life was like for past residents of Roslyn during the Colonial and Early American eras.

This event is free and advance registration is not required.
